Siobhán Shinnors, Master Medical Herbalist, Nutritionist and Iridologist with 17 years of yoga therapy experience.

Hi Folks, 

It has been a long journey that has brought me to this place ‘yoga herbalist’.  I am a curious truth seeker. I’m motivated by all things which bring about a healthier space within me and in others.  For me that means being in harmony with nature and in my personal relationships both to myself and others.  

I have worn many hats, and have been a traveler and explorer,  an English teacher,  a Network Technician & Systems Analyst (BSc.) and presently a yoga teacher and therapist for 17 years.  During these years I have been a full time teacher to the general public, businesses, communities, schools, special needs & increasingly private 121 sessions.  I also coordinate weekend retreats and day workshops on yoga, breath work, mindfulness, nutrition & wild food identification.    

In my earlier years, I spent time living and working on bio dynamic farms which led to earning a certificate in permaculture design & sustainable living.   I also began the journey of practising Vipassana meditation and have completed many 10 day silent retreats.

I’m a Licenced Master Medical Herbalist with an emphasis in Vital Nutrition and Iridology. The four-year program included 600 clinic hours plus a year spent on Iridology case studies.  I have also diplomas in Yoga Teaching & Therapies.  

When working one-on-one with clients I may take into consideration quality of breath, posture, lifestyle, diet, current medication and side effects and the iris picture.  I look for patterns & triggers of disease so changes made and herbal  formulas designed  are the most effective and therefore  bring about the more immediate results.  In my years as a therapist, I have realised that disease/poor health occurs most often when our outer world (environment, actions, expression) are not accurately reflecting our inner self.  My background in the corporate London world and the practice/teaching of yoga and meditation provides me with an intimate understanding of the mind body connection and stress related conditions.   

Working holistically using any of the tools mentioned that are appropriate, I aim to empower the individual to embrace simple healing modalities and take control of their own health and ultimately come back to  a place of wellness.
